The number of sockeye salmon in British Columbia's Fraser River just keeps growing and growing.
The Pacific Salmon Commission says more than 30 million of the fish are expected to return to the river this season.
Earlier this week, the commission predicted that number would be about 25 million.
Last year, the sockeye stocks were so depleted the federal government called an inquiry.
Former B.C. Supreme Court judge Bruce Cohen has been appointed to figure out what caused that collapse and will begin evidentiary hearings next month.
This year's run will be the largest return since 1913.
